jza80 o2 sensor problems - and where to get a new one Mon, 25 August 2003 06:27 Go to previous message
a mate's jza80 has just had the wires pulled out of the o2 sensor (stupid speed bumps).
We've pulled out the o2 sensor, but the problem is the wires look to have been ripped our from the actual sensor, so the metal tube they're normally in (5cm long or so) is now empty, and we have nowhere to reconnect the wires to!

We're wondering if there's some trick to reconnecting them (by some slim chance) or, more likely, where we would get one from. it's an aftermarket exhaust, but I think the o2 sensor is still the stocker (2 bolts on a metal plate, o2 sensor on one side, 5cm of metal tubing on the other).

much appreciated (as he's not keen on running it as rich as it currently is)

edit: and how much could he expect to pay for a new/second hand one?
