Seriously guys, do a search as I've talked about it a fair bit (even though mine's a 4A-GE, T-VIS is T-VIS).
The T-VIS butterflies don't actually block off 1 valve per cylinder, as the first inch or so of port there's no divider. I've played around with mine heaps, as mine was never hooked up when I first got it, and having it connected & working is much better, the torque you lose at low revs with the valves always open is quite incredible.
As for adjusting the switching point, the only way to do it properly would be to tune the engine thoroughly with the valves open, & print out a power graph, then do the same with them closed, & overlay the 2 graphs & where they cross over is the best shifting point. Chances are it'll be pretty close if not spot on to what it is now.
Infact I reckon you should try disconnecting it, they are springloaded open so if you disconnect any of the vac hoses going to the controller valve under the intake manifold it'll be disconnected. Take it for a drive & then appreciate the power of T-VIS!
