SUs are good because they are easily adjustable, but you will need to jet (and choke?) it to get it right. you know why you need the rising rate fuel pressure reg?
i would suggest using a cheapass EFI system, or just using a suck through carby.
read some old turbo books, i found turbocharging and supercharging by allan allard to be pretty good.
