All new tyres have an inhibitor sprayed on them from the productoion factory, this aids the tyre while it sits in storage and is the tacky feeling and some of the smell new tyres have. I've always been very "GENTLE" with new tyres for the first 500 - 800Km to wear off the inhibitor, and also feel the way the tyre reacts. Agreed, they won't feel like your old ones based on tread depth, but also having run both F1's and P6000's, and my general knowledge of Toyo and Falken tyres, I'd say they won't be as good. Also check the treadwear numbers, the lower the number, the softer the rubber.
