putting the engine IN your car would be a starter...

a description of the "new" problem would also help... have you check that the mechanic has replaced everything correctly ie all vaccum hoses, etc even the smallest overlooked object can lead to big problems... its always nice to double check wateva the mechanic says they have done to make sure something has been done...

if that makes sense - cant trust 'em as far as you can throw 'em.
