DJ345 - i've heard the same about the cast/alloy ones.
When I originally got my xt130 struts that have the 90mm spacing for the caliper to bolt up someone said to me (and I wish I had paid more attension) that when you become concerned with weight there is another caliper that would bolt up. But cannot remember if they said nissan or wrx.. Think it was one of the 2.
Problem is its not just like going to a wrecker and matching stuff up, these calipers aren't super easy to come by.
