Yeah i just put in my new parcel shelf, and 6 x 9's last week. Was a fiddly job but its possible, I used the 6mm MDF and then mad 13mm (i think)spacers just cut out with the jigsaw and carpeted to suit. they just clear the window, and the seat back, but they look unreal in there. Put them in the parcel shelf and then slide the whole unit in tho, otherwise u wont do it. You may also have fun doing up the passenger side seatbelt bolt after they are all in!!
Just DONT cut the steel parcel shelf, it can make your car dangerously weak even! my mate did in his RA23 now every time he drives down gutters etc, you can hear the back of the car creak and moan as it twists!
