An encoder is a device which is driven. It outputs 1, 10, 100, even 360 or 720 pulses per revolution. An encoder that outputs 2880 pulses per revolution means it would be accurate to 1/8th of a degree.
The only problem is making the ECU understand this signal.
Thought someone here might be able to tell me if it is at all possible.......
