IF we do nothing, then we get what we deserve.
There are those among us that will not even pay $10 to go and have some fun against the lights on an IHRA sanctioned strip. They woiuld rather run the street because it makes them "a rebel without a clue" or something like that.
I hope that Canberra gets it's own drag racing venue.
Insurance for these events is made possible through ANDRA, CAMS and the FIA.
If these "concerned residents" were really worried about these people hurting themselves, then maybe they would support the setting up of facilities and events where, in the event of an accident, that at least help is at hand. NOT likely, because they are not concerned about people hurting themselves, mostly it wouldn't matter what kind of fun people are having, or how safe it is - they just like to oppose whatever is going on.
