OK I have also learned that 2 weeks can actually mean 3.5 months in garage time.
Then there is a few extra weeks fiddling to get things running right.
Most garages love to have an engine conversion going on. Even better if it is really exotic. Pulls people in to have a look and potenially gets them more money.
If u really care about your car do it yourself and u will enjoy the outcome a whole lot more.
And if they say 2500 for labour then have 3500 in the bank because something WILL pop up and cost more.
