There's a variable valve timing head that bolts straight on to the engine thats in it. but if you know little about what you are doing you should really start with older 70's model cars. if you root the lancer motor (which isnt hard to do on the odd occasion) it will cost a small fortune to replace. if you root a 70's model celica engine you can buy a new one on these forums mainly for less than $150. My advice would be buy something that is easier to do a conversion on such as a TA22 celica or Sprinter etc. [Report message to a moderator]
