not floor pan norbie!! 
in the RA23/28 the holes the inside hole match up ok, but the outside holes are about 20-30mm too far inwards. Hence drill into the mounting parts on the car to match 
HOWEVER! I just measured up my AE71 (same floor pan as AE86 i think), and it appears that the MA61 seats should indeed fit in there, bolt in!
I'll be trying this out next wreckers trip!!
