ta22 front brake upgrade. what to use/how to do it

heya guys i need some feed back from anyone that has done a front brake upgrade on a ta22 celica, i have a 2t/3t hybrid motor in my celica and the standard brakes are not really up to thte task, one good hard brake and they are fading fast, so im looking at getting some bigger rotors and calipers, what can you guys suggest??? i was also thinking of just getting some good quality brake pads and getting some sloted rottors, is this worth while or should i go with the bigger setup???
