It is probably more a concern for supercharged set-ups, but if your guauge needle jumps around like crazy under "boosting" conditions,then it is reading too much of the boost signal ie all the variations in pressure........so all you do is to put a restriction in the line with a 1mm hole or there abouts...this will smooth out the subtle variations and give better signal / pressure reading. ( or you can crush the line a little !!! )
