not too technical with that..but would like to get some answer from you..

how much buy your engine for? what it comes with?
how much did the whole engine conversion costed you? labour cost?
and your advice on those future 20v engine converters...do we need to prepare 1k for bits a pieces during the conversions?

did u regretted on the 20v conversion?

i know my questions are shitload..just ignore my questions if your car actually came with 20v..

cheers

Gday Satoshi,

Silvertop Engine, gearbox, Loom and ecu cost $1750 (remember this was well over a year ago, probably two.)

Whole conversion I would guess at about $2500-$3000 (once you add new radiator tank etc). I did a lot of the stuff myself, labour costs were very minimal, biggest cost was when I paid a local guy 'Grant' (i believe that's his name on here) to help me out with some of the wiring and that all went fairly smoothly. He was very helpful.

I have never to this day regretted the conversion, I believe this is because I knew exactly what I was after and I researched a lot - i didn't do it because a cartoon member happened to do it, or because my best mate only had a 16v so i had to go one better, or anything like that. I did it for myself Smile

My only advice is find out what exactly you're after, and then do a conversion to suit it. The 20v suited me to the ground, others prefer 4agze, 4agte hybrid, basically whatever floats ya boat, keep your ears open, try to listen to a heap of people and their opinion, weigh it all up and take the plunge.

I hope this helped you in some way,
Mat (Seeks).
