the carbies on the blue celica cant be original then since it has an 88210 head. The green one has an 88230 head.
so i guess the carbies and balance tube are off a newer 18rg... is this like the 18rgu?...or something else
they both have high comp. pistons and the blue one has been bored out a little (not sure on figures) i bought the blue one the other day and i have a bunch of receipts for work on the block. the blue one tends to have a dead spot if you accelerate too hard off idle.
the 18rg in the green celica doesn't have this dead spot at all and runs sweet.
since the blue celica engine has been bored out would this mean it might be running a little lean?
maybe i should put the older carbies on the blue celica engine since they have the bigger venturi.
anyway i think ill start by tuning them up a bit, idle mixture probably screwed on the blue one.
