there is a big difference between a ca18 and 1j you know (like 2 cylinders among other things)
first of all figure out if you want a 6 or a 4. a 6 will give you headaches trying to shoehorn it in there, a 4 on the other hand will be less trouble for you.
albeit the ca18 series of motors are well engineered they are getting a little old now so maybe an sr20 might be worthwhile. not disputing the ca18 still an excellent motor just thinking of parts availablility (sr20 still made).
otherwise a 4AG of some description or 3SG (tricky) could be worth your while.
if a 6 is your forte, then maybe an rb20 could be worth looking at OR a 1g - again, is longer, and could present headaches...
