From what I can assume, you've got one of two problems:
1. You've actually got an AE85 that had a clutch cable in the first place. Get a hold of an ae86 hydraulic clutch cable set up and use that
2. You've already got a hydraulic clutch (more than likely), but you're concerned about it being on the exhaust side. Just be careful whereabouts you route the exhaust pipe (not too close!), use a heat shield and get a braided steel hydraulic hose made up from Pirtek or similiar. As long as the pipe isn't actually touching the clutch cylinder (or unreasonably close), you shouldn't have much to worry about.
