stock winner - a 4age 100kw is the better motor - more modern , slightly more powerful
modified - id put my dollars on a 2t - not only is it strokable - its head flows extremely well for a single cam - and with the right dollars thrown at it - can be a serious sub 9 second engine ..
on the street - for a single cam - there isnt many tougher single cam 4's around when you remove all the econoshit off it
2tg is better again for more racy applications - though similar power can be prodiced from 2t singles and 2tg twin cams - though the G series delivers it smoother i believe due to a more modern head design.
Up until the last dyno shootout day for toymods - a 3tg/2tg hybrid held top under 1800cc N/A class killerwaat champ - until a 4age 4x4 corolla came along and really baffled us all with a huge power figure doubling all 4ag's and 2tg's on the day..
