Woohoo! Subaru is probably the only decent manufacturer in the championship atm (Toyota lost their decency in 95/96 and then left when they realised they'd never get it back)
I thought the spectating this year was pretty awful with the single service park... I didn't have time to go to it the whole event and missed out on autograph oppurtunities. Plus the spectator points where pretty bad, the enthusiast points were alright, but more often than not, you just got camera shots of people with media passes that get front row seats!
And the bauxite surface in WA is definitely unique. Unfortunately I was stuck in the passenger's seat all weekend (trying to get dad to go the right way), but suffice to say, the rental VY Commodore was suitably 'tested' on the surface over the course of the weekend
