quick Regular Location: Adelaide Registered: June 2003	Re: Driving techniques & Manouvers Sun, 14 September 2003 12:53 i did a beauty a couple nights ago on an extremely narrow dirt road (in a lancruiser)........handbrake is fucked so coming out of a curvy 90 degree corner sideways i exagerate a bit of a fishtail for 50 metres or so then stab the brakes to really hang on the last slide.........the car like holds sideways for a long time then i down-shift to second and with clutch in i correct the slide so that the car is snapping out of slide to straigt ahead.......then i wrench the wheel towards the way the car is coming back to (ie push the back out further) and now i drop the clutch which does a compression lock-up and the car starts to swing around (we have slowed to about 30 ks now) more steering in the left direction and then foot flat and a double clutch to get the revs up and the 3 tonne beast is heading sideways on the way out of the 180 back in the other direction towards the corners with a couple snakey's thrown in to impress my mate.... this was all done at relatively slowish speed on private property so..... p.s. the gravel for this narrow gravel driveway type thing had only just been laid so it was like driving on marbles... dont go thinking any driver in a landcruiser could do that shyt on rolled down gravel P.P.S. mate luved it and im proud as punch coz it was fuckn perfect...........wish i had a video camera [Report message to a moderator]
