T-18's are TE-72's ????(please forgive my ignorance of new cars)
i think you have a pretty strong case if you say that the TE-71 came with XXX and since the TE-72 is just a different body style, but essentially the same car, then it is pretty much just 'updating' the engine to a more modern motor that came in the same car!!
the only reason i thought maybe a cert was for the high pressure fuel lines, and even then, since it's all stock, it'd be dead easy..
check with your RTA equiv, then contact a couple of engineers and ask them if it is absolutely necessary to have it certified... it might make it easier if you get pulled over tho..
but then again, you lucky buggers don't have yearly inspections
should be easy, but get something in writing from your RTA first, so you have something to fall back on..
