if the engine is gunked up, some have cleaning agents that will clear this away and make the engine feel like the octane booster gave it more power, but in actual fact it wont. if the car isnt detonating with the fuel you are using then u dont need the booster.
but, of course u can use the stuff and then dial in some advance to the engine and have a bit of fun.
