Darren Regular Location: Sydney Registered: May 2002	Re: 3SGTE in 23 Need Help Wed, 17 July 2002 22:35 Just a comment on that mrshin, the SA63 sump won't fit on the later model engines as they have the alloy sump that houses the oil filter at the front. A 'gen2' motor out of an ST185 would be a better starting point as far as ease of fitting is concerned. Don't forget that the distributor and water outlet at the back of the engine have to go as well. Not sure if you would be able to get the factory ECU to run it without the distributor which would mean aftermarket ECU which would make it very difficult to get engineered in NSW. Not sure what the ACT is like. Go and take a look at an engine at an importers, you'll see some of the hassles that are involved. Darren. [Report message to a moderator]
