Silvia torque output is 203 lb ft. It must be a trade secret in Japan as nowhere can I find a reference to the actual gearbox code?? Some people say it is an Aisin Warner Box and others say a Getrag. I don't think it is Getrag as they don't have a six speed listed in their range with the ratios. They only have two six speeds listed - the V160 and a heavier duty one used on the M3 & M5 BMW's. Lexus IS200 Ratios 1 = 3.874 2 = 2.175 3 = 1.484 4 = 1.223 5 = 1.00 6 = 0.869 Diff = 3.909 Lexus were concerned enough about the gearbox capacity to not put it in the IS300. At 218 lb ft that is not a lot more than the Silvia. Doesn't make sense to me. Of course Lexus in Brisbane are not helpful at all. They don't want anyone messing around with their precious cars.
