unfortunately you can't import an MR2 (even turbo) under the normal cheme because it was released in australia. the next way is the 15 year rule, MR2s were release in mid 1989 so you can get one mid next year although it will be an 89 model and not a 92 model. The only other way to my knowledge is to own the car over seas for a year and then move back to australia.
If you get one over under the 15 year rule using prestige motorsport or similar, the shipping price is included in the price of the vehicle. compliance is about $1000, shipping warantees about $500 + usual on road costs. You could get a nice 1989 MR2 turbo through prestige motorsport for $12000 - $13000 on the road make sure you get a yellow one! they look the coolest!
