You can pick up a complete 3T for a couple of hundred bucks tops at the wreckers. Do you really think it will cost less than that to bore out your 2T with new pistons rings etc?
The 3T is still well oversquare so you won't have any problems revving it. I used to have one in my first TA22 and it would happily bounce off the redline all day.
