If you disconnect the knock sensor and your engine won't last 1000km.

Whats happening is that you are:

(a) running too much boost, or
(b) too much ignition timing, or
(c) too low octane fuel

Alternatively you could be having a serious issue with you fueling system (blocked filter, bad injectors etc).

If you disconnect the knock sensor (the thing that is protecting your engine by reducing power) then the engine will simply destroy itself with pinging. Easy way to cost yourself $3.5K for a full rebuild mate.

Making it "faster" at the moment is a stupid idea. Fix the problems first, then try to get more power.
