There are indeed many reasons why this won't work, but the biggest problem is getting enough juice to run the electric motor, which would have to be HUGE to develop any meaningful amount of boost. A conventional alternator certainly can't deliver the hundreds (or possibly thousands) or amps required.
It's not uncommon for conventional superchargers to consume upwards of 100hp from the crank, so we're not talking trivial amounts of power here!
