V8_MA61 Forums Junkie Location: Brisbane Registered: June 2003	long awaited pics of my v8 conversion! Sat, 04 October 2003 11:22 Well i have finally got my first pictures of the 302 developed. The photos are just of the engine sitting empty...has no work done to it. pictures with carby were taken to see if height was a problem. it appears not yet! Also had to sit engine in to make sure sump and everything fitted properly! Orange tappet covers will have to go! (sorry cleveland lovers!) Next job is engine mounts...made from 8mm angle iron...um, Wheres my 9inch grinder? I had to modify my crossmember pretty big to fit the front sump in, as its so big! The pic of it is here also. Its made out of 6mm plate, so if anything has probably strenghtened the crossmember! Its a bit of an eyesore at the moment, but i hope to have it in, running and painted industrial grey by xmas time!
