Mon, 22 July 2002 03:23 I reckon my 4.5 litre turbo charged landcruiser engined toyota crown will be able to pull a few kw. I'm registering it in a couple of weeks and will tune it in N/A form first and get a dyno figure and 1/4 time before bolting the 600 hp T4 onto it and seeing how it goes. The only part of the combo I'm dubious about is the A340 auto gearbox. They handle power okay-but we'll see about torque (lots of it!) With only the settings from my mates 250 cortina loaded into the autronic it turns the tyres instantly when the gas is blipped and is pretty nasty in general. (the torque off the line is like being punched in the back) I am now facing the problem of massive axle tramp as the 4.5 winds up the rear suspension pretty badle out of the hole. I'm aiming to be ready with the turbo setup for the dyno competition at the Extreme Horsepower Super Show here in adelaide in early november. I'm not sure how far the stock injectors will go-but with the bosh m/sport pump on board I should be able to crank the fuel pressure right up and run some decent psi before they max out. On a turboed cruiser setup they are fine for the 5 psi that the APS kits run. Take it easy Sean [Updated on: Mon, 22 July 2002 03:26] [Report message to a moderator]
