Mon, 06 October 2003 05:51 Like Draven said, you can actaully make modern cars worse by stuffing around with the intake. Just drop in a K&N or Uniflow replacement filter and make a cold air feed. Theres plenty of room under the bonnet so it shouldn't be too hard to find somewhere to run a peice of pipe. Other than that my wifes vvti conquest seems to go flat in the top half of the rev range. I think a free-er flowing exhaust would make a fair difference. Just don't go too big or you could risk losing the good bottom end throttle response. Once you have done that you could fit a piggy back computer like a unichip and get it tuned properly on the dyno. These should give you a decent improvement over standard. Any more than that and you may as well have bought a sportivo for the money it would cost. Binny [Report message to a moderator]
