hey dude, my sprinter goes in to be sprayed tomorrow in 2pac and i think the primer has to be smooth but not a mirror finish cause the paint wont stick to the primer as you mentioned above and nah to sand back any inperfections in the basecoat all you need to do is rub it back with 2000 grand sandpaper and then buff the whole panel....
