leak in piping;
ignition has retarded; or
problem with knock sensor (gives the same effect as ignition has retarded.
First two you know how to check. For the knock sensor check you ecu error codes. Also both the knock sensors are on the lhs below the inlet manifold. It is easy to dislodge the plugs just check them.
