nah dude.. The turbo bonnet is purely cosmetic.. The only advantages of it is its lighter than the NA bonnet coz its made of plastic instead or metal. (probably a couple of kg). I think its raised so it can get more hot air out of the bonnet easier from the aerodynamics of the car, but i think if thats the case, the advantages are VERY minute.
The intercooler sits on the side next to the driver side vent holes..
the ONLY thing it is good for that i can think of is its easier to stick 2 really thin craig fans under them to suck out the hot air..
