From my limited understanding of LSD's, the torsen is considered superior for a road car as it applies torque to the slipping wheel almost instantly, and it has the added advantage of containing no wear components (like clutches). Torsens aren't very good in extremely low-grip conditions (eg ice) or situations where you're likely to be lifting a wheel (eg extreme offroading). If one wheel completely loses traction, the LSD function of a torsen won't work at all so you essentially have an open diff.
I'm going with a torsen LSD because I can't imagine I'll be driving on ice very often (I live in Queensland) and I have no intentions of going offroad in my Supra. Clutch type LSD's are notorious for wearing out the clutches quickly in high-power situations, and since I have a 400hp engine in my Supra the torsen seems like a more logical choice.
