The Autronic can't do the VVTi function on a continuous basis - it can only switch it on or off. The 1JZ uses a on/off signal for the variable valver lift but needs a four way variable signal for the cam timing. My intention is to use the existing VVTi functions on the Lexus computer and let the Autronic do the rest. Ray Hall has already done one like this so can build the required interface.
