Letting the car idle the noise is there pressing the clutch makes no difference.
There are no oil leaks in the engine or gear box.
I'm going to take it to a local clutch/brake speciallist tommorrow (as I intended to to anyway) to get the clutch replaced. I'm happy now the the problem is not in the engine so I'm hping the car will get the 5k's or so to the workshop without wrecking anything.
either that or I'll drop the box myself and just get the clutch and do it myself (but I think this is why I'm having issues)
Awww screw it I'll do it myself
