to get 250 - 300 at the wheels in a gt4 - you might as well mortgage your house right now Smile expect over 20K of work there - though believe me - 220 - 250awkw will destroy any commonwhore - HSV or not on the road Smile

The Ecu's arent reprogrammable - if you want power - your better off looking at a microtech or autronic type unit - or even motec if you want the best oz makes ..

205 or 185 grp a ecu's are ok for 18 odd psi mapping but are limited to anythign further than that ..

engine wise - from my own recent askins - 205/205 head is marginally better for big HP - though i have a friend running a trd st185 block thats easily the most powerful gt4 that i know of on the road .. last dyno run was 264kw to the wheels - before using his Nitrous Setup .

his motor - so far - to develop - has cost him a good 1/3 of a new house Smile

So - theres your options - build a super tough 220 ish awKW, and the handling package around it and have a bulletproof bruiser - Or - start saving big time - if your chasing the magical 300

My 2c
ps - just reading fineprint - was that 235 Flywheel KW ( ie a stock vx ss, thats what they came out with off the factory floor )- or a heavily modified Vx ss - you had

My SS was 235kw at the wheels Best time at Calder and Heatcote was 13.1 @ 108mph, I had pretty much all the bolt on mods possible before opening the motor and changing the cam. I was looking at at blower (easy 400rwkw).

I'm going out to ATS this morning to have a chat to them and see what they can offer. Plus I have spoken with Ian at IDB and he has some ideas. I don't think the cost is as high as you think. Forged Pistons, TRD head gasket, aftermarket ECU, hi-flow turbo, etc. Should be able to run 20psi all day without blowing it's guts.
