Thu, 16 October 2003 23:15 Mind if I butt in with a small question - WHY exactly do we WANT to put any kind of such valve there in the first place? With supercharging, it depends entirely where the throttle is. If it is before the blower, then those with brains put a bypass valve on around the blower for cruising, idle, etc. to stop excessive air heating etc. If the blower is before the throttle, then a 'blow off valve' MUST be used to prevent bent throttles etc. - but when Toyota have done a pretty reasonable job with a bypass valve from the factory, why change it? It's not like you're going to pick up 45Kw by changing a few hoses - why not spend time looking at the HORRIBLE pipework/cooler/manifold/etc. instead? [Report message to a moderator]
