Wed, 24 July 2002 10:38 Raistlin all up i spent about $1500 on parts for my 18R-GEU thats including some porting and a new(secondhand reground) crank and a new rod. i spose it isnt to much for a basicly brand new motor but im 18 at the moment and i didnt have that sorta money laying around. and i assembled it on my own so labour wasnt involved. im still tinkering with all my cam timing and ignition timing and that sorta good fun. but at the moment i am only getting about 300 ks to a tank which is giving me the shits. im thinking about getting all the base setting preety much right then getting it dyno tuned. its sort of has the power charicteristics of a two stroke dirt bike at the moment noting till 4500 rpm and it kicks in then the power tapers off at 6 grand and is as flat as anthing till about 6500 rpm where it wants to stop revving. so i think a little tuning is in order [Report message to a moderator]
