Mon, 20 October 2003 14:46 hmmmm.. sorry dude, i also have a question about timing, so i thought i'd ask in your post, hope you dont mind maybe both of us can get help. ive got a bigport tvis 4ag and i cant even FIND the timing pulley. i was digging around under the bonnet with a timing light, until i nearly got an epileptic fit and i still couldnt find it. so i ended up half-assedly advancing the timing straight off the dizzy, a few degrees at a time and taking it for a spin. when it started pinging i retarded it a few degrees and thats where its at at the mo.. could someone tell me whether this is ok? i cant hear it ping, but could it still be doing damage to the motor? and also, where exactly is the goddamn timing pulley anyway? it was sooooo easy to find on my old 4ac =======cheers, roman=============================== [Report message to a moderator]
