From what my search and learn mission just uncovered is that unless you are running bags of boost, an original gasket + good head surface + ARP Studs/bolts + the right torque, and all else being equal, things should be sweet. This is probably the route I will be heading in the near future. I can get a spare head from a 7M-GE from a DIY wreckers for $83 and the idea would be to slowly rebuild (clean, valve job, stem seals etc as budget allows) and then replace in a weekend. Are the GE and GTE cams and valves the same ? Cheers Michael B [Report message to a moderator]
