The only difference between a RA23 and a TA23 is the engine weight. Maybe 20kg. I woulf think a 4A would be a fair bit lighter than a 2t. Like bigworm I am a little biased, but definitly not towards a 4A, If your going to go to all that trouble, put the motor in that you want. There is a fair bit of work in getting that motor into an RA28. you need to sort out gearbox and sump issues. The distributer will be poking out through the firewall and will need to be relocated. They are a nice light motor, so handling shoud be improved and the power ain't too bad for a little motor. Bigworms celica goes really well for a 1600, but he is also running an aftermarket computer and squeezes it pretty hard. I think you will find that he has come to the conclusion that he needs a hefty power increase though. [Report message to a moderator]
