for the K series, the TOSCO 3K manual suggests a shim between 2 and 4mm, and this is meant to up the pressure form about 40Psi to 60Psi.

i know it's a pain in the ass to change the shims, but i would start with getting a good oil pressure gauge... measure stock pressure, then add a 1 or 2mm shim, then measure pressure again..
this is for a 3K/3K pump, but i think it is the same style of pump.

depends how keen you are to pull the pump out again Wink
