1. King springs, K-Mac, Whiteline, Pedders. off the top of my head.
2. Coil overs - kinda like a shock with a spring in one unit usually adjustable
Bushes most standard car manuf. use a rubber bush in the suspension components which is prone to wear over time, replacing with new or neoprene (sp?) bushes may get rid of those suspension/steering noises in older cars and give a much faster steering response.
Shocks - important if you like to keep traction on Sydney(Aust.) roads , stops wheel bounce.
Strut brace - I really don't know much on these except they are now a standard feature on SS commo's
Sway bars - assist in keeping the inside wheels in better contact with the road during conrnering gives a flatter cornering experience.
3. I've done it myself (on my ra28) but I went out an got all the tools for the job (ie spring compressors) but I still need to take it to a pro for allingment and a professional brake bleed.
4. at least an alingment. personally I remove the front brake lines as well so I get a brake bleed as well.
5. $500 bucks would be for springs only.
check K-mac or whiteline web sites as the may have complete suspension upgrade packages for road cars (springs, shocks, bushes, sway bars, strut brace) no idea about price.
There Ya Go.
