(like it's one tooth out). when the engine is at operating temp and all the accessories (fan, heater etc.) are all off. you should notice the rpm drop when you put in the jumper wire as it takes away the ecu's control of the idle. what is your rpm at when you are trying to set the timing? have a looksee at this it might help.
