Re: Auto Antenna. I think if you can bolt it in (or already have it) your car has the wiring that will make it work with a custom switch at the front even if the schtereo don't support it.
Re: Wiring. Grab yourself a multimeter and get to work. You will just need to find an always-on source that used to go to the old radio (hopefully), and Accessories line, which should be there as well, an earth and the speaker wires.
A multimeter should sort you out in a jiffy and you can pick them up for very cheap these days. If you wanna learn this kind of stuff you need one anyway.
I know a couple of the guys on this forum have had a nightmare with the schtereo's in their 4th Gens, but mine went pretty smoothly.
