You can get a 100kw 16V 4AGE for about $750. Installation extra. You'll probably get a motor and ecu with this option and you might be able to get a gearbox (at extra cost of course).

You can get a 125kw+ 20V 4AGE or 4AGZE frontcut from between 2 to 4 grand. Again, install extra. This is your big power upgrade. With this option, you can swap anything and everything from the frontcut - eg brakes, aircon, dash, gearbox, diff, clutch.

With both options, you (or the installer) will have to source some other stuff to make it go (like Alchemist said).

Both are EFI. But there's no way around that. Don't bother swapping a carb motor for another carb motor (that might turn out to be just as shagged).

I reckon, if you want to do it yourself, you're safer with a whole frontcut as you have everything in front of you you'll need (except the fuel stuff). But if you just want to take it to a bloke and say gimme a new engine, then the 100kw engine's a easy to come by these days and are worthwhile upgrades (especially from a carby).

Post your location and then people can give you tips on where to go.

And have some pride in the nova!
