Just a quick point of clarification for all those who think I'm a hoist snob( ), I don't have one either, and yes most of my mechanicals are done under high lift 5 tonne axle stands with a creeper! I've tried both ways, and prefer the hoist, I have plenty of friends with hoists so have ready access to one any time. I have met someone who tried to do the changeover on the ground, he spent 18 months recovering from a shoulder reconstruction after dropping the gearbox on his shoulder, he stated it rolled off the jack (personally, I like throwing a baseball around so am not keen on this happening to me!). Your W50 will weigh 40Kgs, be prepared for it!
Have fun with it, it a good learning experience!
